About the Author
Meg Winikates is currently Membership and Advocacy Manager for the New England Museum Association (NEMA). Immediately prior, she was Programs Coordinator for the Art and Nature Center at the Peabody Essex Museum. Meg was also a contributing writer to the Peabody Essex Museum blog, Connected. Previously, she worked as Associate Education Director for The Discovery Museums in Acton, MA, as well as interpretive ranger for Longfellow National Historic Site, museum teacher for the Paul Revere House, 7th grade English teacher at Boston Latin School, and kindergarten teacher at the International School of Brussels.
What is Brain Popcorn? This blog focuses on museums, interdisciplinary education, and creative inspiration. Posts focus on resources for educators in the classroom and in informal education, and may also include current events, seasonal activities, discussion of best practices, exhibit and book reviews, and more.
